Alexis started her marketing career as a freelancer writer and PR consultant. She worked closely with biotech startups to develop their marketing strategies while simultaneously shaping the personal brands of their executive leaders and founders through ghostwriting services. Her unique approach quickly gained traction, leading to the formation of Taylored Marketing Group. Today, we are a Female Founded & Operated firm of dedicated experts supporting biotech and advanced therapy companies. We specialize in creating tailored marketing and communication strategies that highlight the innovative work of our clients. Creating your groundbreaking technology was only half the battle. Without a well crafted narrative that resonates with investors and patients, your life saving technology may never reach the patients that desperately need it.

We are here to share your story.

Alexis Taylor has over 10 years of experience in the pharma and biotech industries, gaining exposure across every point of the care ecosystem. She has received a BS in Microbiology from North Carolina State University in Research Triangle Park and obtained an Executive Certificate in Healthcare Leadership & Management from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

our founding story

After spending five years immersed in the client side of the pharma and biotech industries, our founder and Chief Scientific Communications Officer, Alexis Taylor, discovered her true passion for the art of storytelling for the science community. After working for industry giants like Novartis and Quintiles, she moved onto clinical research in the lung cancer program at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. It was during this time that a personal experience profoundly shaped her career path. A family member who was recently diagnosed with cancer came to her overwhelmed by the complexity of information presented to them. Her scientific background and industry knowledge allowed her to guide them through the process, translating the intricate scientific details into digestible information.

This experience highlighted the significant communication gap between scientists and lay audiences. She saw the need for clear and effective communication not only to help patients, but to resonate with investors and secure essential funding for scientific innovations. This realization was the catalyst for her career shift towards helping others in the biotech industry tell their stories.

our Mission
